Heritage lacework and iron lacework in Geelong, Queenscliffe, Ballarat and Bendigo are among  those regional heritage cities that definitely punch above there weight when it comes to heritage properties and terraces.
These cities have some excellent examples of both double and single storey terrace housing that display their own regional variation and flavour.

Some of the  lacework and balustrade display the unique floral designs including flower pots, vases and a large range of ferns and vines. While other properties have a unique range of birds including the Aussie rosella and the all time favourite  Kookaburra. The designs are never ending with an ongoing mix of both birds and flowers very common.
